To the Editor,

The Pam Pack is going to the state championship! I have never been so honored to be a part of the Pack! The crowd Friday night was awesome! I am a 1989 graduate and now have two boys that are a part of the team. I knew when they were born that they would play for the Pam Pack! There’s just something about being a part of that name. We don’t focus on an animal (mascot) of some sort. We are a Pack! For those who ask “What is a Pam Pack?” I’m here to tell you! Pam undoubtedly stands for the great Pamlico River and Sound that we all know and love, whether it’s for recreation or pleasure or simply crossing the Highway 17 Bridge. You know it’s there! The Pack is simply that: a pack! A group that is so intertwined that we are a Pack. We are friends. We are a community. We are a school. We have supporters that graduated in the fifties. We have supporters that graduated last year. Being a part of the Pam Pack is something you do not forget. Win or lose in Winston-Salem that will not change. We will always be the Pam Pack! Whether we are in California or Washington, we will always be the Pam Pack. I wish the coaches and players and the many fans that will be traveling this weekend safety. And GO PAM PACK!
