MAKING A DIFFERENCE: The juniors of Girl Scout Troop 3556 decided to work as a group on their Bronze Award project. The Bronze award is earned by having courage, confidence, and character to make a difference in the world around you. The girls chose to make Night Night bags for the foster care program at Beaufort County Social Services. To make the Night Night bags each scout was responsible for collecting items and bags. Abby Jarvis collected and donated 21 bags on Nov. 26. Emma Tetterton collected and donated 43 Night Night bags on Dec. 19 to social workers Kristian Backman and Jacob Meetze. Emma collected donations of bags, stuffed animals, toys, baby items, and books from family and friends. In the future months the other girls participating will deliver their bags as well. Girl Scout Troop 3556 Juniors would like to thank everyone who has donated to make this project a success. The girls have learned that everyone big or small old or young can make a difference in someone’s life!
