Lobelia “Billie” Tyson Broome, 86, of Wilson, died Friday, Jan. 23, 2015.

A funeral will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., at First Baptist Church, followed by visitation. Interment will be at Maplewood Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Wilson Broome, in September 2013.

Mrs. Broome is survived by her sons, Philip W. Broome and David T. Broome both of Washington; sister, Adeline White of Fullerton, Calif.; brothers, Elijah “Jim” Tyson (Jean) of Lake Norman and Ted Tyson (Anne) of Stuart, Fla. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, PO Box 1467, Wilson, NC 27894-1467.
