On Jan. 24, 2015, deputies with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Beaufort County Detention Center after a detention officer reported contraband was found on an inmate who had turned himself in to serve a probation violation sentence. Marijuana and tobacco was seized by deputies.

As a result, Quinton Bernard Corbett, 31, of Gaskins Road in Grimesland, was charged with possession of a controlled substance in a local confinement facility and misdemeanor possession of tobacco by an inmate. Quinton was held in the Beaufort County Detention Center on $15,000 secured bond set by Magistrate Donald Sadler.
