WILLIAM BRYAN ROWE

May 2, 1937 – January 25, 2015

 

Mr. William Bryan Rowe, age 77, a resident of 189 Stilley Station Rd., Blounts Creek, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at his home.  William was born in Blounts Creek, NC on May 2, 1937 son of the late Thurston and Rosetta Rowe.  He was married to Barbara Toler Rowe who survives.

In addition to his wife Barbara, William is survived by his children, Bruce of Washington, Gregory of Blounts Creek, and Thomas of Newport News, VA; his brother Calvin Rowe; sisters Judy Harding and Lois Lewis; his five grandchildren, Bryan, Christopher, Lindsey, Jacob and Joshua.  Special thanks to his wife Barbara, Libby Blount, Jackie Bucher, Bryan Rowe and others for caring for William in his time of sickness.

William was well known for being an extremely hard worker.  He was an excellent engineer, mechanic, electrician, carpenter, planner and organizer.  William was also a loving husband and father, who always put his family first.  He valued always doing the right thing and would stress to his children that they could do anything they put their minds to.  His influence and wisdom will continue to live on though his children and grandchildren.

William served in the United States Air Force and was honored by the Air Force Honor Guard at his graveside service, 11am on Wednesday January 28, 2015.  The Rowe family would like to thank all family and friends in attendance.
