Mrs. Francis Magnolia Tyndall Whitehurst, age 61, a resident of 122 Pine Drive, Chocowinity, NC died Friday April 17, 2015 at Vidant Medical Center of Greenville.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at the Salvation Army of Washington, officiated by Lt. Bruce Rabon. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. Serafin Juarez, Lavel Mann, Kenny Miller, Donald Miller, Josh Huffman and Glenn Huffman will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Asby, Larry Johnson and William Mozingo.
The family will receive friends 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2015, at The Salvation Army of Washington and other times at the home of Mrs. Francis’ daughter, Mattie Miller, located at 105 Ballard St., Chocowinity.
Mrs. Francis was born in Beaufort County on April 10, 1954, daughter of the late Arthur Richard Tyndall and the late Frances Rebecca Harrell Tyndall. She attended Washington High School and married Dalton Ray Whitehurst on April 23, 1987, who preceded her in death on April 9, 2001. Mrs. Francis worked as a hostess at Hardees on John Small Avenue in Washington. She was a member of The Salvation Army.
Survivors are children: Tonya Juarez and husband Serafin of Chocowinity, Frances Miller and husband Donald of Chocowinity, Jesse M. Woolard III and fiancée’ Danielle of Chocowinity, Gene Woolard and wife Brandi of Washington, Crystal Mann and husband Lavel of Washington, Mattie Miller and husband Kenny of Chocowinity, Dalton Whitehurst and wife Ashley of Washington and Joshua Whitehurst and wife Brandi of Chocowinity; a sister: Doris Faye Martinez of Washington; a brother: Sam Richard Tyndall of Chocowinity; grandchildren: Kenny G. Miller, Brooke Miller, Michael Miller, Donald “D.J.” Miller II, Taylor M. Miller, Shylah T. Woolard, Ethan A. Woolard, Payton A. Woolard, Cheyenne Woolard, Gavin Woolard, Jacob Miller, Kaylee Miller, Benjamin Miller, Autumn Harding and Summer Harding and a great-grandchild: Kaden Miller.
Mrs. Francis was predeceased by two children: Larry Bennett and Dewey Edwards.
