Betty Simpkins Heath, 67, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015. A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday at 11am in the Smith Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8pm at the funeral home.
Betty, daughter of the late Stonewall and Virginia Simpkins, was a native and longtime resident of Greenville and attended JH Rose High School. She worked in housekeeping at ECU before owning and operating her own cleaning business until her health declined.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Lester “Bank” Heath; children, Tony Heath and wife, Norma of Ayden, Ricky Heath of Greenville, Tina Heath and husband, Timo Diaz, and Ronnie Heath, all of Chocowinity; grandchildren, Kyle Heath, Kayla Diaz, TJ Diaz, Marissa Moore, Ricky Heath, Jr., and Hunter Heath; great grandchildren, Jordan Diaz, Alana Ayers, and Mia Ayers; three brothers; and three sisters.
