ZELMA CUTLER SAMOS

Nov. 13, 1957

Zelma Cutler Samos, 57, of Newport News, Va., passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born November 13, 1957 in Washington, N.C. to Inez Warren Johnson and the late Oler Cutler Jr. Zelma had a wonderful love of animals and she also loved to cook.

Her memory was left to be cherished by her loving husband of 28 years, Harry Samos; stepchildren, Mike Samos and Christi Byrd and five grandchildren, Austin and Camden Byrd and Rylan, Caroline and Emmeline Samos. She is also survived by her sister, Carol Willard and husband, Sam; nephew, Shawn Jackson; a great-niece, Emily Jackson and her furry son, Sam and parrot Chico.

A viewing, to include a Trisagion Service, will be held at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church on Sunday May 31, 2015 from 7 to 8 p.m. Service will be conducted at 12 noon on Monday, June 1, 2015 at the church with burial to follow in Peninsula Memorial Park.
