Those interested in adopting a pet should inquire at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays. Because of overcrowded conditions, the animals listed are only available as indicated.
All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. It’s Christmas in June at the shelter; now’s the time to adopt cats and kittens. They will be well acclimated by the time the holidays roll around. During the month of June cats and kittens, at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, will have an adoption fee of $25. This fee includes spaying /neutering, the first round of shots, a microchip and worming, for each feline adopted. This is a reduced fee with the remainder paid by the Humane Society of Beaufort County. Don’t delay! This offer is in effect June 1 through June 30. Questions, please call 252-946–1591.
Princess
Friendly, smart, affectionate, loveable, calm and playful are but a few words to describe our, Princess. Her shorthair, smooth coat is white with interesting patterns of black, and her face is beautiful with its symmetrical design. This three month old, Wheaten/Black Hound-mix pup wants to love and be loved. She will make a fantastic pet in a good forever home setting — pay her a visit and see for yourself. Princess is available through Saturday at the shelter.
Jimmy
Very is a good way to describe our Jimmy. He’s very affectionate, very playful, very energetic, very inquisitive and very nice. At 10 months old, this chocolate spotted tabby is handsome in his shorthair coat of chocolate lines and spots, rosebud nose and huge pale green eyes. Come meet Jimmy and see for yourself how entertaining he is and what a wonderful addition he will be in your good forever home.
