CORA RADCLIFFE WILLIAMS

March 6, 1941 – June 23, 2015

 

Cora Radcliffe Williams, 73, of Pink Hill, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 surrounded by her family.

Cora was born on March 6, 1941, in Pantego, NC to the late Eugene and Ruth Craddock Radcliffe.  On October 20, 1979, she married Glenn Williams, who survives.

Cora lived her life with strength, grace and dignity. Her warm smile and positive attitude were an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. She was a member of Sandy Plain FWB Church.

She was preceded in death by a son, John Fentress; a daughter, Cindy Williams; a sister, Retha Allen; a great-granddaughter, Alexis Burns; son-in-law, Wayne Perry; and brother-in-law, Andy Stout.

Left to cherish her memory in addition to her husband is a son, Eugene Williams of Deep Run; daughters, Cheryl Woodring of Rocky Mount and Celia Williams of Mount Olive. She was a loving grandmother to 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by 2 sisters, Lula Stout of Washington; Teresa Radcliffe of Pine Level and a host of nieces and nephews that loved their “Aunt Cora.”

A celebration of her life will be held at Pink Hill Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2015 with the Rev. Mark Hobbs officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.  Burial will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the Maxwell Family Cemetery on Seth Turner Rd., Albertson.
