Anna Gavason Raigner, 54, passed away on June 25, 2015, at her home in Chocowinity, NC. She was born on Oct. 26, 1960, in Orange Co, Fla., to Harry and Frances Gavason. Anna was employed in the Food and Beverage Industry and the Retail Industry for many years. She was a Maiden with the Iron Order Motorcycle Club, in Washington, NC. The Brothers and the Iron Maidens were her extended family. Anna was a loving soul who always strived to help others. She befriended many and opened her heart and home to everyone she met. Anna was not selfish, nor boastful and always remained positive in her quest to enjoy and live life to the fullest. Her work in the retail industry extended way beyond the cash register, as she always engaged in conversations with her customers. Her caring and compassionate ways will live on in the lives of all who knew her. Even in passing, she continues to give to those in need by being an organ donor.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Gavason. She is survived by her one son, Christopher Moore, of Swan Quarter; her father, Harry Gavason and wife Barbara, of Northumberland, Pa.; a brother, Tom Gavason and wife Becki, of Oxnard, CA; two sisters, Jane G. Morris and husband Romus, of Farmville, and Mary Daddario, of Sunbury, Pa.; her longtime companion, Ira “Screech” Garrett, of Chocowinity; three grandchildren, Blake, Shane and Daisy Moore, all of Swan Quarter and several nephews and a niece.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2015, at Alligood Church of God, 1891 Mill Hole Rd., Washington, NC 27889.
