Erin C. Pierce
April 25, 1982 – June 26, 2015

 

Erin Chambers Pierce, 33, of 401 East Liberty St., Williamston died Friday June 26, 2015 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville after complications in pregnancy that resulted in the delivery of her baby daughter, Abigail, into the hands of Jesus just hours earlier.

Born in Chowan County April 25, 1982, she was married to Joe M. Pierce who survives. She was a member of Askewville Bethel Assembly of God. Erin was a member of the surgical oncology team at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

She was the daughter of Mrs. Lynn Davenport Rose and husband Johnnie of Creswell; Mr. Allen Chambers and wife Katenia of White Hall, AR

Erin was a loving mother and wife to her husband and three boys. She loved her husband Joe, whom she enjoyed being with in their many adventures, from Honduras to Washington DC and many places in between.  She also loved spending time with her three boys in the out of doors, theme parks, or just at home. She loved to sing, especially with her sister Stacy. She touched so many lives in her short time with us. Erin loved her job as a nurse where she could care for others on the surgical oncology floor at Vidant Medical in Greenville, NC. As an alumnus of UNC Chapel Hill, she was a diehard Carolina Tarheel fan. She served as office manager for AK utilities for more than 10 years. Most of all she loved serving Jesus with all her heart.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday June 30, 2015 at Phillipi Church of Christ Family Life Center. Rev. R.O. Denton, Rev. Charlie Asby and Rev. Dwayne Gibbs will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm. Burial will follow in the Davenport family cemetery, Creswell.

In addition to her husband and parents surviving is a son Caleb Allen Armstrong; two step-sons Bryson and Brayden Pierce; a sister Stacy C. Brickhouse and husband Justin of Greenville; a brother Hunter Allen Chambers and wife Brittany of Holly Springs, NC; a step-brother Justin Michael Barr of Springdale, AR; maternal grandparents Stewart R. and Lucia Davenport of Creswell and paternal grandmother, Mrs. Margaret Trombly of Elizabeth City.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Abigail Hope Pierce; paternal grandfather Allen Ray Chambers.
