Van plows through downtown building

On Wednesday afternoon, a man backed his van on accident through the front of the law office of bankruptcy attorney Edwin “Sandy” Hardy at 131 N. Market St. in Washington. No one was seriously injured in the crash, but emergency personnel were treating the driver on the scene. Police said the man was attempting to parallel park along Market Street in front of the law office when his van reversed and slammed into the building. The cause of the accident was not immediately known.
