Mr. Noah Herbert Ipock, 89, crossed the finish line Monday, August 31, 2015. A lifelong resident of Craven County, Herbert was founder and owner of Ipock’s Body Shop. He was a faithful member of Spring Hope Free Will Baptist Church and loved watching NASCAR. Herbert was a loving husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed being with his family. Sadly, he was preceded in death by his daughters, Brenda Fay Ipock and Linda Ipock Nassef.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Pollock-Best Chapel with Rev. MacDonald Bennett and Rev. Dwayne Boyd officiating. The family will receive friends from 11-12 prior to the service and other times at the home. Burial will be at 2:30 PM at Oakdale Cemetery in Washington. Herbert is survived by his wife of 66 years, Louise Asby Ipock; son, David Ipock and wife Melanie of New Bern; and daughters, Margaret I. Brinson of Bridgeton, NC and Lois I. Sutton, and husband Terry, of New Bern. He also leaves behind his sister, Mary I. Marker and husband J.D., of Vanceboro, NC; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
