Chocowinity burglary suspect charged

Dustin Stancil Forrest, 27, of Vanceboro, was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary by Chocowinity Police Department on Sept. 12. Forrest was found inside an unoccupied Chcowinity residence Saturday at 8:13 p.m. The residence is located at 231 N.C. Highway 33 West, Chocowinity.
Forrest was located inside the residence by Chocowinity Officers Taylor and Fucuito. Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office assisted Chocowinity Police with surrounding the residence while a search was performed. It was found that Forrest had entered the residence through a rear window. Forrest was found with cotton gloves, a screwdriver and two knives in his possession. Forrest was placed in the Beaufort County jail under a $10,000 secured bond. There were two previous breaking and enterings at this same residence during the past year. Investigation is continuing to see if Forrest can be tied to the previous breaking and enterings at this residence.
