State Rep. Bill Cook, a Republican from Beaufort County who represents District 6, is hosting a town-hall meeting and barbecue at the Belhaven Civic Center tonight.

Following the 6 p.m. dinner, Cook will make a short presentation at 7 p.m. and then take part in a discussion with attendees.
The event, including dinner, is free and open to the public.
