To the Editor,
In honor of the men and women who served the United States through military service, American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 15 will join Auxiliary members across the country in celebrating the dedication of these men and women by conducting a Veterans Day service at Veterans Park.
The event will be held Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 11 o’clock. In case of rain, the event will be held at the Redman’s Lodge across the street.
For nearly a century, members of the American Legion Auxiliary have endeavored to meet the needs of our nation’s veterans, military and their families. We volunteer millions of hours yearly, sponsor Girls State programs, promote patriotism and contribute to our community. We proudly boost that we are the largest women’s patriotic organization in the world.
The public is encourage to attend the service, to pause during the day to reflect on the difference men and women in service have made in their lives, to fly an American flag in their honor and to thank a veteran for their service.
