Saturday, November 14, is the date for the Tyrrell County Public Library’s benefit program presented by Adrian and Julian Woodrow, better known as Take 2.

The Sunderland, Vermont, twins will entertain with original songs as well as cover music from well-known bands. The purpose of the live concert is to raise funds to use towards the purchase of a bookshelf for the county library’s adult fiction area.

Adrian and Julian toured 44 schools during their spring semester in high school. They had so much fun that they decided to chase their biggest dream – touring every major city in the U.S. They named their fantasy the Dream Big Tour. During September they launched their tour.

They give daytime concerts in schools and share their experiences in the music business with kids of all ages. This tour will encompass 40 weeks, 10,000 miles and 275 concerts. On November 12 and 13, the twins will perform a mini-concert for the students in Tyrrell County Schools.

The 18-year-old singing duo have competed on The Voice and X-Factor and will tell humorous backstage stories about what it was like to go through those competitions and perform in front of 4,000 people.

Take 2 competed against eight other bands and won Granville’s Battle of the Bands in Vermont, receiving over a third of the audience votes. In addition, they and their music have generated over 2.6 million hits on YouTube.

Come out and enjoy the evening’s performance on Saturday, November 14, in Madge Van Horne Auditorium.

The doors will open at 6:00 p.m. where the twins will introduce themselves with a meet-and-greet opportunity. As a bonus, everyone who attends will receive a free poster. Take 2 will have some items for sale during this time, including their newly released CD, which will be autographed.

The concert will begin at 7 p.m. Admission is $5 per person at the door. The Tyrrell County Friends of the Library will be selling concessions in the foyer before and immediately after the performance. All drinks and treats will be priced at $1 each.

This family-oriented event is appropriate for all age groups.

Take 2’s interactive concert will be a great way to spend your evening on the 14th, say the event sponsors. Come out and support the library’s cause of acquiring a new bookshelf and support Take 2 in their Dream Big Tour.
