PUMPKIN SEED MATH: Students from Taylor William’s third-grade class at John Cotten Tayloe sorted the seeds from pumpkins. Then they made arrays and practiced multiplication facts using their seeds. They had to write multiplication sentences that went with their arrays. Students were also making spider marshmallows after reading Eric Carle’s “The Very Busy Spider.”
