Mrs. Evelyn Louise Woolard Baynor, age 92, a resident of Washington, died Monday, November 16, 2015 at River Trace Nursing Home.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00pm Saturday, November 21, 2015 in the chapel at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington, and will be officiated by Sam Loveall, George Braddy and Dennis R. Davis. George Galen Braddy, Stephen Ray Braddy, Christopher Allen Braddy, Evan Matthew Johnson, Zachary Tyler Jordan, Nicholas Keith Jordan, Porter Asa Braddy, George Gage Braddy and Lucas Lene Braddy will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Mrs. Baynor was born in Beaufort County on September 4, 1923, to the late Heber Woolard and Pattie Plum Waters. On September 12, 1942 she married Mr. Hubert Nicholson Baynor. She was a member of Everetts Church of Christ. Mrs. Baynor loved being outside and loved to garden. She enjoyed sewing, especially quilting. Mrs. Baynor was also an avid reader. Survivors include three daughters: Patricia Baynor Jordan, Selma Baynor Braddy and husband George, both of Washington, Marlys Baynor Loveall and husband Sam of Garner; her grandsons: Galen Braddy, Stephen Braddy, Christopher Braddy, and Evan Johnson; her granddaughter, Susan Larae Braddy Jordan; her great-grandsons: Zachary Jordan, Nicholas Jordan, Porter Braddy, Gage Braddy, and Lucas Braddy; her great-granddaughters: Kristine Blake Braddy and Katie Braddy; and her caregiver and special family friend, Sandra Riddick.
She is preceded in death by her husband Hubert N. Baynor; three brothers: Ward Marshall Woolard, Whitford Curtis Woolard and Heber Harding Woolard: three sisters: Lorraine Lorrimer Woolard, Lorretta Jean Woolard and Maxine Rae Woolard; and a son-in-law, Earl Ray Jordan.
The family will receive friends from 9:30am until 11:30am Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington.
