JOHN COTTEN TAYLOE ALIEN DAY: Tracy Solano’s third-grade class at John Cotten Tayloe recently completed a study of our solar system. They celebrated this achievement with Alien Day! Students were sent on a mission to discover their own planets. They shared with their classmates the characteristics of their planet’s atmosphere and terrain. Students arrived at school dressed as an inhabitant of their planet and participated in a series of space stations. The extraterrestrial group created rockets with simple balloons and straws, read informational material about planets, completed puzzles with their knowledge of our solar system, played games and created alien art. It was a fun and educational experience for all!
