NEW FRIEND: Chocowinity Primary School kindergarten students (from left) Austen Vann, Brooke Hodges and Natalie Newman welcome a new friend to the classroom. The youngsters and their classmates created a scarecrow while on a field trip to Southside Farms in Chocowinity; they dubbed their friend “Sheriff Pake” in honor of CPS Assistant Principal Spencer Pake.
