Salley Gray Taylor, 84, of Blounts Creek, passed away January 13, 2016 at her daughter’s residence.
She was born November 23, 1931 in Beaufort County, the daughter of the late Burble Griffin and Nellie Woolard Griffin.
Salley was a member of Ephesus Free Will Baptist Church in Blounts Creek, where she was also a clerk for over fifty years.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Judy Taylor Hoell; sisters, Hazel Waller, Dorothy (Dot) Meeks and Faye Jones; grandchildren, Mitzi Jordan, Rodney Clark Jr., Stephen Hoell, Randy Clark, Kelli Jo and Ashley Taylor; great-grandchildren Taylor, Andrew and Mekayla Jordan, Jonah and Bayleigh Hoell, Bret and Lydia Clark and Kailee Taylor.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Roland E. Taylor; sons, Randy D. Taylor and Jeffrey E. Taylor; daughter, Wendy J. Taylor and her brother, Robert Griffin.
A funeral service will be held 2 pm Friday at Ephesus Free Will Baptist Church, 2685 Ephesus Church Rd., Blounts Creek, officiated by Pastors Danny Hoell and Mike Hill and the Rev. Stephen Hoell.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Burial will be in the Taylor Family Cemetery.
