James Howard Pinkham, age 83, a resident of Cherry Road, Washington, died Friday, February 12, 2016 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital. Mr. Pinkham was born in Washington, to the late Frazier Thomas Pinkham and Mamie Congleton Pinkham. He served his country in the Army and worked at Flanders Filters until his retirement. He was married to Ella Pauline Woolard Pinkham who preceded him in death in May 2003. He is survived by his sisters, Donna Woolard (Donald) of Washington, and Mary Weber of Virginia; one brother, Edward Earl Pinkham (Judy) of Washington; his children, Ella Maris Pinkham and Howard Glen Pinkham and his granddaughter, Amy Elizabeth Pinkham, all of Washington. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Frazier Thomas Pinkham Jr., Lee Taylor Pinkham and Joseph Louis Pinkham and by his son James Earl Pinkham. A graveside celebration of Mr. Pinkham’s life will be held 10:00a.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens with Pastor Jim Reed officiating. Military honors will be rendered.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Hillside Funeral Service and travel to the cemetery in procession.
