The A to Z Doll Club held its first meeting of the year at the Golden Corral in Washington on Jan. 25. Those attending included Betty Ross, Shirley Woolard, Donna and Briley Hodges, Martha Robbins, Gloria Windley, Marguerite Ferry, Catherine Fulford, Joyce Tucker, Colleen Lupton, Joyce Carawan, Particia Harris, Martha Seighman and guest B.J. Taylor from the Down East Doll Club.
Vice President Betty called the meeting to order and Martha R. gave a blessing. Betty told about the table arrangement, a Minnie Mouse doll with flowers and Valentine centerpiece. Martha S. gave a brief report on the Christmas party and Shirley gave the treasurer’s report.
Doorprize winners included Joyce C., Catherine, Shirley, Martha R., Patricia and Martha S. and donated by Marti, Joyce T., Shirley and Martha R.
BJ Taylor led members in finishing a doll-sized hat stand, complete with hat. It was suggested that members decorate these little hats and bring them to the next meeting. The meeting was adjourned.
