BATH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ANIMAL SHELTER: Second-grade students at Bath Elementary School collected nearly 300 items to donate to the Beaufort County Animal Shelter. Each year, second grade strives to challenge students to develop global responsibility through a community kindness project. Helping shelter animals in Beaufort County became the endeavor for 2016. Students set the goal of 100 items per class since the project was simultaneous with the 100th day of school. A variety of nearly 300 cat and dog treats and toys were collected. We hope these animals can experience the love and kindness of these children as they await their forever home in Beaufort County.
