Mrs. Carrie “Arlene” Crisp, age 88, a resident of East Carolina Rehab & Wellness Center of Greenville died Saturday, April 2, 2016. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington, officiated by Rev. Danny Edge. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Crisp was born in Beaufort County on Jan. 10, 1928, daughter of the late Thomas Henry Crisp and the late Carrie Etta Brown Crisp. She was married to Aldo Mancinelli, who survives, and later married Iver Aaseby and Thomas H. Tice, who both preceded her in death. Mrs. Crisp was a homemaker and was the author of “Old Carolina Tobacco Country,” a cookbook of southeast recipes. Mrs. Crisp is survived by a daughter, Teresa Mancinelli Schrum, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; a son, Paul Mancinelli of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a sister, Anne Hoell of Otto; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Mildred Lawrence, and four brothers, Berlie Crisp, Ferebee Crisp, James Ray Crisp and Bobby Gene Crisp.
