Those interested in adopting a pet should inquire at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays. Because of overcrowded conditions, the animals listed are only available as indicated.
All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. Cassidy
This beautiful Flame Siamese-mix is a treasure to be sure. Beautiful to look at, her shorthair coat of creamy white with Siamese points of pale orange is amazing. Her points suggest a hint of Tabby — the trademark “M” on her forehead, the striped tail. Cassidy, a 1-year-old female, is sweet, gentle, friendly and she absolutely adores being held and murmured to. Cassidy is unsure of her shelter surroundings but once she is adopted by loving owner(s) in a good forever home, Cassidy will blossom into a wonderful family member. For video, visit www.facebook.com/ENC Shelter Cats/ID#0327. Come in and meet her, she’s available through Saturday at the shelter.
Brownie
This fellow enjoyed having his photo taken, of course, treats were involved, and that’s one thing our Brownie loves. At 3 years old, this Rottweiler-mix is friendly, sweet, happy and seems to love people and attention. Stocky and muscular, he’s handsome with a shorthair coat of reddish brown. Provide him with love and adequate exercise in a fenced area or on a leash, and he will be a great pet. It appears that Brownie has had some training, but he still needs basic obedience training. For video, visit www.facebook.com/EncShelterDogs/ID#0361. Better yet, Brownie loves visitors; come see him. He’s available through Saturday at the shelter.
