Elmer “Pee Wee” Ray Squires Sr., 63, of Pinetown, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2016 in his home. Mr. Squires was born in Beaufort County on April 7, 1953 to Nellie Gray and Samuel Wilson Squires.

Surviving include his wife Theresa Sandy Squires; his daughter Amanda Squires Arnold of Greenville; his two sons: Elmer Ray Squires Jr. and his wife Melinda of Washington and Henry Tooley IV of Pinetown; his two sisters: Nina Paul and her companion Jimmy and Ada Evans and her husband Jimmy, all of Greenville; his brothers; Samuel Squires and his wife Tereasa of Greenville, Frederick Squires and his wife Linda of Washington, Timothy Squires of Belhaven and Perry Squires of Grimesland; 6 grandchildren: Morgan, Madison, Liam, Brooke, Kelsie and Cody.

Mr. Squires was preceded in death by his sister Pamela Harris, his brothers Wilson Squires and Frank Squires and his grandson Tyler Squires.

A celebration of Mr. Squires’ life will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at his residence, 688 Jefferson Road in Pinetown, with Rev. Leroy “Skip” Hurley officiating.
