Pecheles Toyota has done it again.
The Washington-based car dealership received the 2015 President’s Award from Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc. for the fifth consecutive year, according to a May 6 press release. The dealership has received the recognition for a total of seven out of the past nine years.
The President’s Award is awarded annually and based mostly off of customer satisfaction ratings taken directly from sales and services feedback, the release stated.
Owner Brian Pecheles said his company’s success comes largely from its high-quality employees.
“It is certainly a tribute to our employees,” he said. “We think our shopping experience for our vehicles … is fairly efficient, and we think that helps.”
Pecheles said maintaining Pecheles Automotive’s family-owned aspect means he is more accessible to customers and is better able to meet their needs. Each customer is given Pecheles’ personal cellphone number to alert him to any problems, he said.
Pecheles Toyota is one of three locations under the Pecheles Automotive umbrella, which also includes a Volkswagen-Audi-Hyundai-Mitsubishi dealership in Greenville and a Honda dealership in New Bern. Pecheles Toyota also sells Ford and Scion car brands. The company has been in business for about 50 years.
Kazuo Ohara, president and chief executive officer of Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc., said in the release that Pecheles Toyota is “a leader that excels in all facets of its operations,” which “provided the exceptional customer experiences that create strong bonds.”
“These bonds are key to our success, now and in the future,” Ohara continued.
Pecheles said he was honored to receive the award again for 2015, as only a select group of dealerships receive it and even less do so for five consecutive years.
Striving to provide a good customer experience, made possible with consistent staffing and training, is the key to Pecheles Toyota’s success and will continue to be a top priority within the company, Pecheles said.
