Jefferson-Ferguson wedding

Mollie Bonner Jefferson of Washington, NC and Justin Wade Ferguson of Grantsboro, NC, were married Saturday, April 23, 2016 at five o’clock in the afternoon at Fox Hollow Farm, Washington, NC. Mr. Steve Hill officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Peggy Bonner Jefferson of Washington, NC and the late Jesse Ronald Jefferson.
The bridegroom is the son of Ms. Bobbie Styron and Mr. Ray Fulcher of Beaufort, NC and Mr.
Donald Ferguson of Grantsboro, NC.
The wedding was held in the barn at Fox Hollow.
The Fowler String Duo performed classical violin selections during the ceremony.
Mr. Lloyd Salter of Sea Level, NC, served as best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Jeremy Ferguson, brother of the groom, Jacksonville, NC; Mr. Torrey Jefferson, brother of the bride, Washington, NC and Mr. John Davis, Davis, NC. They wore black tuxedos with champagne accessories and boutonnieres of baby’s breath.
Mrs. Susan Sterling Pendergrass, Bath NC, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Jennifer Neal Mish, Garner, NC; Dr. Elizabeth Lekson, Raleigh, NC and Mrs. Jeanne Lee Niederhauser, Washington, NC. The bridesmaids wore knee-length dresses of Meadow while the maid of honor wore a floor-length style. All attendants carried bouquets of baby’s breath.
Miss Megan Huettman, Bath, NC, served as flower girl and Miss Emily Huettman, Bath, NC, attended the guest register. Both wore cream-colored dresses with baby’s breath corsages.
The Bride, who was escorted by her mother, wore a laced-detailed ivory gown by Mary. Her bouquet of green hydrangeas, pink roses and white calla lilies was wrapped in burlap. It was accented with her mother’s handkerchief, her maternal grandfather’s initialed cufflink and her brother’s infantry cross rifle pin.
For her daughter’s wedding Mrs. Jefferson wore a knee-length dress of champagne with a sheer overlay.
Ms. Styron, the bridegroom’s mother, chose a knee-length floral of pink and green.
The bride recognized her aunts, Mrs. Cherry Bonner Thomas and Mrs. Babs Bonner Chandler with baby’s breath corsages and uncles, Mr. Jesse Thomas and Mr. Tommy Chandler with boutonnieres of baby’s breath. She also remembered her great aunt, Mrs. Tess Bonner Peele, and friend, Mrs. Mary Lou Chandler with corsages.
A buffet reception followed at the Farm with after dinner dancing.
Mrs. Sandy Moore of Washington, NC was director. Mrs. Joy Dunn, Aurora, NC, served as coordinator.
The couple traveled by vintage limousine from Fox Hollow Farm to Elmwood 1820 Bed and Breakfast for the evening. They continued honeymooning in Beech Mountain, NC.
The Fergusons will reside in Washington, NC.
Pre-wedding events included a shower at the home of Mrs. Babs Chandler on March 12 hosted by her aunts. Mrs. Susan Sterling Pendergrass, hosted a shower with the bride’s co-workers at First South Bank Distribution Center on March 11.
Mrs. Susan Sterling Pendergrass, hosted a bachelorette party at the DoubleTree Hotel in Atlantic Beach, NC on March 19th.
The bride was honored with a bridesmaids’ luncheon at the home of Mrs. Jean Lee on April 22. Hosting were Mesdames Jean Lee, Almeta Woolard, Ruth Schmidt, and Kristi Carter.
The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the father of the groom, Mr. Donald Ferguson, at First Church of Christ Family Life Center in Washington, NC.
