Dorothy (Dot) Francis Martin Miller, age 89, passed peacefully in her sleep in Palm City, Florida, June 1, 2016. Born in Washington on March 10, 1927 and a graduate of Washington High School, she was the daughter of Hosea Wilkinson Martin and Lydia Golden Cutler Martin.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, 2 Lt. Edgar T. Harris, KIA, Normandy, France, in 1944 and later married Capt. Warring Thomas Miller, who predeceased her in 1990; daughter, Gwyn Francis Miller in 1995; son, Martin Newman Miller in 1972; granddaughter, Heather Rabaco in 2015; and her oldest brother, Louis Wilkinson Martin Sr. in 2014.

She is survived by a son, Warring Thomas Miller Jr. of Stuart, Florida; daughter, April Lee Miller Rabaco of Palm Beach, Florida; grandson, Steven Rabaco; brother, Ronald Wayne Martin of Belhaven; and sister-in-law, Lou Crisp Martin of Washington.

A private graveside service was held June 8, 2016.
