Respond quickly as there are a few remaining spaces open for 4-H Critter Camp. This three-day camp is for any youth entering first and second grade this coming fall. 4-H Critter Camp is a partnership with Goose Creek State Park and will be held Monday through Wednesday from 8:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day.
The action packed days have the following themes: Monday is “Tree Day.” We will meet at the campground to celebrate the 100th anniversary of State Parks, campers will learn about trees, learn how to build a safe campfire and cook a treat. On Tuesday, the theme is “Beaver Day” and we will meet at the Visitors Center at the Park. Campers will learn about the habitat and life of a beaver, make a craft and enjoy a variety of summer fun games and activities with 4-H agents and volunteers. On Wednesday, we will meet at the swim beach for an action-packed Summer Fun Day! Campers will participate in an activity called Dragonfly Detectives, make our own ice cream and enjoy getting wet at the swim beach.
