Pocosin Arts

Pocosin Arts is cultivating the involvement of youth in the arts. Each summer Pocosin Arts offers seven weeks of art and design classes, for children and youth of all ages.

This summer, aspiring artists have the opportunity to learn metal work, ceramics and clay, photography, 3-Dimensional Design and much, much more. Each week offers a new medium for students to learn. Morning classes support ages 5-8, and afternoon classes instruct ages 9 and up. Course weeks run June 20 through the week of Aug. 8. Classes will resume, after the holiday week, on Monday, July 11.

Participants will learn hand skills through constructing build objects, forethought through design, critical thinking and problem solving, and how to think creatively while expressing their own unique voice. Pocosin Arts is still accepting applications for children and youth classes and scholarships. Visit www.pocosinarts.org/summer-art-camp-2016/ to register online today.
