Mr. Daniel Edward Alligood, age 71, a resident of Deer Tract Drive, Washington, died unexpectedly Monday, July 4, 2016 at his residence. Daniel was born June 28, 1945 in Beaufort County to the late Margaret Tetterton Alligood and Thomas Edward Alligood. Daniel lived his entire life in Beaufort County and had been disabled for many years. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Margaret Ann Buck and Mary Jones, and one brother, Claudia “Claude” Alligood. Survivors include one sister, Kathleen Warren of Washington, and his brother-in-law, Bobby Jones, with whom he resided. Other survivors include two nieces, Linda Sawyer and Mary Ball, two nephews, Michael Taylor and Richard Taylor Sr., all of Washington, six nieces and six nephews. The family received friends Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from 2:00-6:00 pm at the residence, 1175 Deer Tract Drive, Washington. Hillside Funeral Service & Cremations, 4500 Hwy 264 E., Washington, has been given the honor of being entrusted with serving the Alligood family.
