Beverly Elzey Foreman

Beverly Elzey Foreman, age 64, a resident of Washington, and a former resident of Pantego, was called to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Pitt Vidant Inpatient Hospice in Greenville, NC. Beverly was born January 6, 1952 to the late Ruth Elzey Hewitt and John Mace Elzey. Beverly lived most of her life in Beaufort County and was a member of Belhaven Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a member of the Humane Society and was an active animal activist. She loved playing bingo and traveling when her health permitted. Beverly was married to Charles Foreman who survives. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by one brother, John “Chip” Hewitt. Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Michelle S. Hardison (Douglas) of Terra Ceia, and Melissa S. Braddy (Steven) of Pinetown, one son, Michael “Mike” Norman (Amanda) of Washington. Other survivors include two brothers, Mark Elzey (JoAnn) and Mike Elzey (Betty), all of Bath, two sisters, Barbara “Barbie” Alligood (Tommy) and Eva Leggett (Jeff), all of Washington, nine grandchildren and four step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren and one great angel on the way. A celebration of her life will be held 11:00am, Saturday, July 23, 2016 in the chapel of Hillside Funeral Service with Pastor Medford Hopkins officiating. Music will be provided by Niki Selby. Burial will follow at Pamlico Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers include Stephen Sullivan II, Todd Kalmowitz, Matt Kalmowitz, Jonathan Elzey, Andrew Spencer, Eric Sawyer and honorary pallbearers, TJ Squires and Alex Spencer. The family will receive friends Friday, July 22, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Hillside Funeral Service and other times at the home, 1730 Corsica Road, Washington. Memorial donations may be directed to the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, 3931 US Hwy 264 E., Washington, NC 27889. Hillside Funeral Service & Cremations, 4500 Hwy 264 E, Washington, has been given the honor of being entrusted with serving the Foreman family.
