OurCart makes grocery shopping easy by crowdsourcing pricing and telling a customer the best deals for each item on one’s list, creating a smart grocery list that reports the best prices from area stores on individual items, as well as revealing the best value for the entire list.

Launched for Android (late September for iOS), OurCart now provides users with deals from a store’s weekly circular, including national brands like Target, Costco, Whole Foods and Wal-Mart.

Here’s how it works:

• Users download the free app and snap a photo of their receipt after a shopping trip. OurCart reads the receipt and feeds data on prices into the app to help other users find the best deals.
• On the next shopping trip, add to and edit the list. OurCart tells a customer the best crowd sourced deals for each item at one’s preferred stores and, now, includes deals from circulars and flyers.
• Use the list to inform one’s shopping trip, or have OurCart do the heavy listing by telling which store gives the best value for a whole cart.
