James Keith Huber

James “Keith” Huber, age 71, a resident of Duckview Trail, Washington, died Sunday, August 28, 2016 at his residence. Keith was born July 15, 1945 in Snow Hill, NC to the late Minnie Irene Edmundson Huber and Horace Cornelius Huber. He was a 1963 graduate of Greene Central High School and also attended Pitt Community College. Keith was a supervisor at North State Garment in Farmville prior to his retirement in 2007 and volunteered for the Farmville Rescue Squad for 15 years, serving as captain for 4 years. Keith was an outdoorsman; he loved fishing and spending nights out on his boat. He coached Little League and Babe Ruth League for 12 years in Farmville, NC, and also served on the committee. He was a NASCAR fan and his favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt, Sr. He loved his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Mrytle Sue Huber of Washington, two sons, James Kelvin Huber and wife Kristin Berry Huber of Washington, Brian Keith Huber and wife Charlene Cahoon Huber of Greenville, NC, two grandsons, James Christopher Huber of Farmville, NC and Nicholas Hudson Huber of Greenville, NC, two granddaughters, Ashley Lauren Huber of La Grange, NC, and Breanna Surie Huber of Greenville, NC, one great-grandson, James Carter Huber and one granddaughter-in-law, Shannon Baines of Farmville, NC. A graveside celebration of his life will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens in Washington, with Allen Hall officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 pm, Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Hillside Funeral Service & Cremations. You may share a memory with the family at www.hillsidefuneralservice.com.
