Pinetown larceny suspects arrested

On Aug. 18, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a larceny and damage to property from a business located on Christian School Road in Pinetown. Deputies responded to the area and began an investigation into the crime. The manager on scene advised a chain was cut using tools from inside their shop and gasoline was stolen from the business. Part of the crime and one of the suspects, a former employee of the business, was captured on video surveillance.
As a result of the investigation, Investigator Jeremy Landeck applied for and obtained warrants charging Joseph Wayne Brewer III, 21, of Washington, and Dustin Lewis Sullivan, 28, of Washington, with one count of each larceny by employee and one count each of injury to personal property.
Brewer was arrested by the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office on Aug. 25. He was presented to the magistrate where he received an $8,000 secured bond and was held in the Beaufort County Detention Center.
Sullivan was arrested by the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office on Aug. 30. He was presented to the magistrate where he received a $1,500 secured bond and was also held in the Beaufort County Detention Center.
