Mr. Gary Wayne Clark, a resident of Chocowinity, died Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Ridgewood Manor Nursing Center of Washington.

The family will receive friends 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 9, 2016 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home of Gary’s mother, Ruby Crisp, located at 55 Jones Circle, Chocowinity.

Following the visitation, the family and friends will go in procession to Pamlico Memorial Gardens for a graveside entombment service. The service will be officiated by Pastor Michael Hill. Pallbearers will be Elliott Griffin, Terry Stowe, J.R. Burbage, Burnis Padgett, Todd Clark and John W. Henderson.

Gary was born in Newport News, VA on July 24, 1961, son of John Allen Clark Sr. and Ruby P. Crisp. He attended high school in Newport News, VA. When his health permitted, he worked in the electrical field as a lineman, having worked with River City Construction and several other contractors.

Surviving along with his parents John Clark of Suffolk, VA and Ruby Crisp of Chocowinity is a brother: Jeffrey Clark (Rachel) of Greenville; a sister: Melissa Johnson (Wes) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two stepdaughters: Christina and Alisha, both of Chocowinity and several nieces and nephews. Gary was predeceased by a brother: John Allen Clark Jr. and a stepfather: Roy Crisp.
