Sheriff issues statement

Tyrrell County Sheriff Darryl Liverman issued the following statement Sept. 7:

 

“I would like to thank the following agencies and county employees for the assistance that they provided to the Tyrrell County Sheriff’s Office and the citizens of Tyrrell County and the motorists that traveled through Tyrrell County during and after Hermine. Tyrrell Volunteer Fire Department and Fire Chief Johnny Spencer, Washington-Tyrrell EMS, Tyrrell County Emergency Management Coordinator Wesley Hopkins, Tyrrell County Manager David Clegg,  NCDOT, North Carolina Highway Patrol, NC Marine Patrol, NC Forest Service, NC Wildlife Resources Commission, Dare County Sheriff’s Office, Manns Harbor Volunteer Fire Department, Dominion NC Power and my staff at the Tyrrell County Sheriff’s Office who worked tirelessly during some difficult conditions especially dealing with a fatality, windy, rainy conditions and flood waters.”
