Tuesday evening around 11:30 p.m., Washington Police responded to a report of a robbery of the Quality Inn, located at 1636 Carolina Ave. With the assistance of Greenville Police Department, officers located and arrested former hotel employee David Paul Crandol, 33, of Haven Drive, Greenville. Crandol was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and safecracking. Crandol was placed in Beaufort County Detention Center with a $100,000 bond, pending appearances. No one was injured during this incident and the investigation is ongoing.
