On Thursday, Sept. 22, Dr. June Atkinson, North Carolina’s Superintendent of Public Instruction, visited Tyrrell County Schools. The day began with an overview of system initiatives including information on new curriculum changes and technology implementation. She spent a majority of her time in schools visiting Columbia Middle School classrooms and talking with Columbia High School students, discussing their schedules and plans for the future.
