Sadie B. Riepe

Mrs. Sadie Brooks Riepe, age 87, a resident of Washington, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at River Trace Nursing Center.

In keeping with Mrs. Riepe’s wishes, no visitation or service will be held.

Mrs. Riepe was born in Beaufort County on May 30, 1929, daughter of the late William Pettigrew Brooks and the late Lossie Forest Brooks. She lived her life on her terms and did things her way.

Survivors include a daughter: Lori Golden Freehling and a son: William “Bill” Golden. She was predeceased by two sisters: Kathleen Waters and Lossie Brooks and three brothers: Claudie Brooks, J.P. Brooks and William Ledrue Brooks.

In lieu of any flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Eastern NC Chapter, 3739 National Drive, Suite 110 Raleigh, NC 27612.
