The A to Z Doll Club held its September meeting recently at the China Bay Buffet in Chocowinity. Those present included President Diana Cates, Marguerite Ferry, Catherine Fulford, Marti Buchanan, Betty Ross, Patricia Harris, Shirley Woolard, Martha Seighman and Donna and Briley Hodges.

President Diana called the meeting to order and Marguerite asked a blessing. Secretary Martha read the August minutes and Treasurer Shirley gave her report. Betty’s table decoration was a tall, thin Miss Liberty figurine.

A nominating committee was appointed to choose a slate of officers for the October election. and Shirley and Donna will be the designated Historian committee. All members are asked to contribute items.

A discussion of the doll show followed. Several members turned in their raffle tickets and money to Shirley. Martha R and Gloria Windley will set up tables and Martha and Diana will distribute signs and flyers in and around Washington, Williamston and Greenville.

Marguerite will sell admission tickets, Marti will man the club table for those members with only a few items for sale, and everyone is asked to help clean up following the show.

Doorprizes were brought by Catherine, Donna and Shirley, and were won by Catherine, Donna and Marti.

Those participating in show and tell included Marguerite, Donna, Catherine, Betty, Marti, Patricia and Martha S.

The meeting was adjourned.
