The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning in western Beaufort County until 10:45 a.m. Monday.

The Tar and Neuse rivers remain in major flood. Subsequently, numerous communities along the rivers and their tributaries are experiencing flooding conditions. The rivers will recede by the middle of the week.

Travelers should find alternate routes. Never drive into flooded roads. Turn around, don’t drown!
