The woman reported missing by her family this week has been located, according to Washington Police spokesman Capt. William Chrismon.

Marjorie Frances Davis was found Thursday in the Triangle area after a public plea went out on Wednesday asking anyone with any information about her disappearance to contact law enforcement.

Marjorie Davis had been missing since Oct. 21 and there was no indication as to why she left or her whereabouts, which caused family members to seek the help of law enforcement, according to authorities.

“We praise God she is found and pray for all medical personnel attending her, and are most grateful for the outstanding work of law enforcement,” Derik Davis, Marjorie Davis’ brother, wrote in a statement on Thursday afternoon.

Derik Davis said his sister had been found because law enforcement used her cellphone to find her location. He said she was admitted to a Triangle area hospital on Thursday afternoon.

Police released no additional information about Marjorie Davis’ disappearance, nor the circumstances in which she was found.

Washington Police are seeking any information as to the whereabouts of a Washington woman who has been missing for almost a week.

According to Capt. William Chrismon, spokesman for the department, the family reported that Marjorie Frances Davis, 58, was last seen in Washington on Oct. 21 and has not had any contact with family since that date.

Marjorie Davis may be driving a red 2010 Toyota Prius with a North Carolina temporary tag No. 22399125, according to a press release.

It is believed that Davis left of her own volition, but now family is concerned, Chrismon said.

“We don’t know why she left,” Chrismon said. “We just don’t know where she’s at, and we’re worried about her. It’s kind of unusual. She just disappeared.”

Derik Davis, brother to Majorie Davis, asked that people pray for his sister’s safe return.

“Her family is very worried for her and loves her so,” Derik Davis said.

It is possible that Marjorie Davis may have traveled to the Zebulon or Wake County area, the press release stated.
