Richland seniors host October meeting

The Richland Senior Club met on Oct. 4. Alice Briley opened the meeting by asking Mary Ellen Galloway for devotions and the Lord’s Prayer, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Attendance was taken, and Annette Smith gave the treasurer’s report.

Alice reported the leak in the roof had been repaired, and the building is in bad need of roof and ceiling repair. This will be addressed in the near future.

We are still in need of gifts for our senior Christmas party. Members were reminded we are short on men’s gifts.

Marlou Reid and Hugh Donahue did some cleaning up outside and mulching and trimming to spruce up the grounds, and it sure made a difference.

Ann Windley brought some 2017 calendars for members to take home with them; Dot Leffel won the 50/50 drawing (again) and donated a portion of it back to the club.

James Parker asked the blessing before a delicious lunch was served. The meeting was then adjourned.

Respectfully submitted,
