Mr. Johnnie Duane “Butterball” Foster, age 43, a resident of Washington and a former resident of Belhaven, died Friday, October 28, 2016.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven, officiated by Pastor Dean Fulford Jr. and Gary Jones.
Burial will follow in Pamlico Beach Community Cemetery at Ryder Hill.
Pallbearers will be Michael Daniels, Lonnie Foster, Jeff Ahearn, Anthony “PeeWee” Carawan, Shaun Erie Hopkins and Jurell “Wild Child” Lee. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Foster and Neil Ahearn.
The family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven and other times at the home of his mother, Theresa Anne Foster (Daniels), located at 1777 John Small Avenue, Washington.
Butterball was born in Portsmouth, VA on February 18, 1973, son of the late Johnnie Delmar Foster and Theresa Anne Foster (Daniels) who survives. He was a 1993 graduate of Northside High School. On August 27, 2004 he married the former Heather Rene’ Hopkins who survives. Butterball was an engineer with Express Marine of Camden, NJ.
Survivors are his mother, Theresa, and wife, Heather, both of Washington; two sons: Joseph Carmen Braddy and wife Haley of Washington and Logan Tyler Foster of Washington; a brother: Winky Underhill and wife Amy of Belhaven; a sister: Connie Ann-Marie Foster of Myrtle Beach, SC; four aunts; eight uncles and his cousins.
