An esteemed career

LARRY G. HILL on Nov. 1 attended his last regular meeting after eight years on the Tyrrell County Board of Commissioners. After being a career police officer in Nassau County, New York, he retired to his native county to serve as a deputy sheriff and first school resource officer, chairman of the board of education, chairman of the social services board, member of Mid-East Housing Authority, county chapter president of the NAACP, Inner Banks Hotline board member and as a popular school bus driver.
